I have had a bit of a challenge this week…
I have been quite challenged by Todd White and his teaching and really that we as Christians should be sharing our faith – everyday!
If we really believe what we believe – that Jesus is the only way and that once we leave this world, it is just the beginning and you are either going to heaven, or hell…
…then as Christians what on earth are we doing? We should be sharing His love with everyone. And I don’t mean Bible bashing people, I mean, telling them they are loved, giving, caring, sharing Jesus, offering to pray for them…
So what has challenged me this week.
My neighbor died. We have lived here for 4 years, and it took me until this year, to connect with her. Yes, they live across the road, no excuse and no different to next door really.
And when I did connect, I helped her with the garbage bin she was struggling with. And later, gave her some tomatoes, and our phone number if she ever needed help. But it has been a couple of months and I haven’t been back. Nor did I take the opportunity, when I was delivering the tomatoes, to ask if I could pray for her, or even just let her know that Jesus loves her!
Now she has gone, and I may have been her last chance to know Jesus. And I failed.
This experience has made me realize how vital it is that we connect with people!
And have a strong, solid relationship with our Father so that when he says, pray for that person, tell them I love them, we do it. We do it regardless of how we feel, or what they might think of us. We are obedient! We do it!
That’s all for today…
