I have been challenged to be sharing my faith more.
And I have to admit, this is not something I feel I am good at. Mostly because, I am shy and I also know I also need to get over what others think of me.
I don’t want them to think I am Bible bashing them either.
I think a lot of it is trusting God in my friendships to open doors to care, pray for and to simply be an example to those around me. But also be open to God’s voice and if He asks me to pray for someone that I do or don’t know, to be willing to step out and do it.
I have a friend who is good at this, and isn’t afraid to go up to a stranger or a friend and say, can I pray for you. Amazingly enough very few people say no! (If she reads this, she needs to know – she is a champion!)
And I need to be more like this. I think we also easily let everyday life get in the way and forget to listen to that small voice of our Father…saying, (that person) needs help, pray for them.
Being open every day to opportunities. It doesn’t mean we blast our way in! It means we ask in love and because we care!
Another thing I can do which works with my shyness is to have tracts on hand.
So what can you do with a tract…take a look at these suggestions.
You could leave a tract in:
- A shopping cart
- In a clothes pocket in a store

- In a letter to a loved one
- With a generous tip (I like this one cause it blesses them too)
- In a restroom
- In a hotel room, for the cleaner
- In a magazine
- In the waiting room of your doctors
- In someones letterbox
- On a train seat
- In a plane seat pocket
- In a cab
- At a laundromat
- On a bank counter
There are so many different ideas here – and yes they may get thrown into the bin. But they may also get picked up by someone who needs this message.
